Hey there, on my Piefed instance I'm being haunted by posts I've already read that keep re-appearing, often months later. What can I do about that? |

Hi, thank for the report. That's outside my skill, i can't help you but meanwhile you can provide us more detail. :) It may be a bug. Did you subcribe to some community or post or user ? Do you have more revalant info about those posts ? |

PieFed only stores 90 days of read post history. Now that we have had that feature running for a long time I can see how much space is used by this (430 MB) and I think it's fine to increase this to 180 days. I've also added an admin option at /admin/misc which will let you increase it to any value. If you want to keep read history 'forever' than just put a really big value in there. On a single user instance the amount of data used by this table will probably be much smaller than it is on piefed.social. |

Wait, 90 days? Then how do posts from 4, 7 or 18 months ago keep coming back? |

It keeps posts forever but the history of what you read was only kept for 90 days. |

Probably a bug, I've opened an issue: https://codeberg.org/rimu/pyfedi/issues/1754 |
