Edit: Okay, this must be an LLM slop farm. That report is from February 2019. The abstract was posted to UCSB's website February 2022.

Here's the report.

The formatting of the EcoPortal article was giving me a migraine. This new trend of bolding everything is obscene.

Keep in mind:

This project was funded by BHE Renewables (formerly MidAmerican Solar). We thank
Wendy Greene of BHE Renewables for all of her support and project administration
throughout the study. We also thank Gary Hood and Alicia Knapp of BHE Renewables
for their support and assistance. We also thank numerous BHE Renewables and First
Solar staff at the Topaz Solar Farms for their support and assistance during the course of
the study. [...] Finally, we thank
Wendy Greene [of BHE] and Kevin Dodson for reviewing the draft report.

Take it with the same grain of salt you'd take a report funded and directly administrated by the industry its results are positive about.

The foxes in question, if that helps.

Excessive bold formatting

Excessive bold formatting. Short sentences. One-line paragraphs.

This isn't just AI.

This is the most blatant LLM slop I have seen—ever.

Noo no no, that's the darling Marian's specialty, IIRC.
