Hello again shmuppers, and happy Saturday! Hope you've all had a good week. This is the latest open thread, where we can talk about any topics we like, shmup-related or not!

I've been spending the last week grinding away at Bullet Soul Infinite Burst. Nowhere near a 1cc yet, but I've been having fun with it!

So, what's everyone been playing these days? Anything you're anticipating?

I've really been enjoying Minishoot Adventures.
What if Zelda+Robotron and they absolutely nailed it?

Nice! I hadn't heard of it before, but it looks sick!

Oh it's good.

I've been bouncing between Gunvein and other shmups.

Looking around for something non-shmup to play. Or I might break down and buy that new R-Type DX release.

Wishlisted! I remember seeing this announced and forgot about it.

I love Gunvein! (And sorely tempted by R-Type DX...)

Some shmup-adjacent news about the rail-shooter Asura the Striker: https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/2389830/view/523122454653043339

New Gear & Features Added. 4 new equipment types, analog controls, and the Tips system are here to enhance your gameplay experience.

I played the demo awhile back, and it's very "Space Harrier" plus a melee mechanic. Fun! I have a terrible time judging distance in most rail shooters so I didn't stick with it, but YMMV.
