Original Title: In the past, anytime GME did anything good it would get bashed by the MSM. If MSM is slamming the eBay deal, wouldn't that mean it must be good for GME? If this truly was a get out of jail free card for shorts, wouldn't they be praising the deal and trying to get eBay to take it to save their asses?

Basically just a shower thought I had earlier, like if buying eBay and issuing all those GME shares to purchase it would allow all the SHF to cover/close all their short positions without bankrupting themselves, wouldn't they be doing everything they can to try and use their influence to make eBay take the deal?

That's what doesn't make sense to me, every time GME has done something positive that will help grow the business the media rips into them, so the fact that the MSM hates this deal so much is really what is slowly convincing me that this must be great for GME. Now if the MSM had come out and said that this was a great deal for GameStop and it's a brilliant idea, that's when I'd be starting to get suspicious.

Again, don't wanna be telling people what to think, and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But the fact that the financial establishment and MSM seems so dead set against this deal going through makes me think that they must be scared of what happens if the deal actually gets done.

But, who knows, I guess we'll see what happens
