i have been bullied for as long as i can remember, but i didn't even realize what my experiences meant up until i was around 14. i was never bullied with "reason", meaning they were never targeting anything specific about me. i've always been "conventionally attractive", was an average weight for my height, wasn't obvious about any of my interests, had an average looking style, and had practically nothing "out of the ordinary", yet i was bullied relentlessly.

for example, if i was talking to someone while my bullies were around, they'd mockingly repeat anything i said and laugh, or roll their eyes and act offended at my presence, or butt in and start directly bothering me. i had so many situations where they'd come up to me and just bother me, not let me get even a full sentence out to whoever i was talking to, or just follow me around in public if i was hanging out with someone. i wouldn't even have a way to get them away from me because they technically weren't doing anything wrong, they would just keep themselves near me and prevent me from being able to privately talk to my friend or do anything. it was such a strange way of bullying that i don't think i've ever heard of anyone else experiencing the same thing. this was honestly probably the thing that made me develop a fear of being seen, because i ended up overly analyzing everything about me in detail while trying to understand why i was so disliked by everyone. i'm 21 right now and i still do not understand anything about this experience honestly.
