My peers are graduating college this year and many have postgrad or career plans. They're moving into new apartments or houses, some are even having kids before 30, and have outlined how they plan to live. Meanwhile I keep moving the goalposts and didn't think I'd make it to my HS graduation let alone 22 right now. I am not actively suicidal now and plan to be here, but I don't know what I'll do in a year because I grew up thinking I had no future. COVID also probably influenced why I can't plan ahead, I just keep assuming subconsciously that something will damper my plans. |
