Im not talking about "oh heres a great deal on a slightly used console for a couple hundred dollar discount!"

I'm talking about the listing after listing of consoles, some listed as new, some even as used, that are 600 - 1000 dollars, for a device you can get from the retailer, new, for 350 dollars.

I get scalping, I understand how it works. Like the Steam controller. Buy a bunch for 100 each, sell them for 200 - 300 each. And if you want one without having to wait like a peasant, you pay 3x the amount it retails for because they're sold out and thats the only option for getting it now. Scummy, but economically, it makes sense.

But these are devices that have plenty of stock on the retailers site, for half as much money. So who in the hell is funding this weird ass economy of fully stocked devices for twice their retail value?

Please, if you've bought one, Im absolutely dying to know your reasoning. Im genuinely curious who you are and if youre just lighting money on fire, I have some better ideas for you.
