Excellent heron indeed.

My parents have some that nest in their trees. I keep trying to get a good picture but they are sneaky

Is that a heron in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?

Herection

Where does the neck go??¡

He's a grower

My great blue friend would like a word.

Anyone else really hoping this bird's call sounds exactly like a slide whistle?

Took this picture recently. Truly an incredible bird.

ZACK and he's a long boyo

“Hey babe can you help me out? I got a little Zoop problem.”

It’s hidden in the fluff.

Zoop 👉😎👉

Hey, look! They said my name on the thing!

ZOOP (I happened to find the source so this is a fresh screenshot)

Huh, I don't know why, but I thought it would extend its neck over the course of a second or so. Not shooting it forward like a cannonball xD

It’s how they hunt. A quick sudden thrust to catch their prey off guard.

Fascinating! These birds live near my place and yet I’ve never seen them unwound - that’s really cool!

magnificent work.

Also, ZOOP needs to be brought into common use. it really does.

Except that it’s very obviously not the same idea as the post. Your great blue friend should practice basic media comprehension before butting into a conversation to talk about themselves.

They were my favourite heron when I was a kid. Used to love nature documentaries and everytime the green backed heron popped up, I was thrilled. They look so pretty, yet so strange, so comical, yet so elegant.

How does it even do that
