Since I started using Linux, I've been using the terminal and teminal "apps" more. Not sure if thats the right word. Can now use ssh as I would on a pc, (apk add openssh for it to work on ish) and locally from my phone use ffmpeg to convert/compress videos/images if im not near my pc to turn it on. (apk add ffmpeg on ish) a-Shell has what I use I-shell for by default, there you do no need to add it, but I-shell uses alpine linux and has access to whatevers available on that repo. While a-shell is more native? No idea how it works but it only has a few options for things to install and has the main things I use (ssh and ffmpeg) by default. I really like just starting in a terminal even when my only goal is to ssh into my pc, not a fan of how most terminal apps only launch a terminal after you've connected to your server/pc. |
