I'm watching The Boys (still on season 4) and a lot of the consensus seems to be the performances are still really good but the writing has gone downhill. It's a phrase I've heard A LOT over the last few years from shows ranging from Game of Thrones to The Office or Silicon Valley where people say the acting stays consistently good throughout, but the writing gets bad. Are there any shows where the opposite is true? Where the writing is top notch throughout but the acting either starts good and gets worse or is just bad from the start? |
