I always tried to ride the motivational wave that we all get sometimes, but I rode it too hard. I was overdoing exercising, my diet got extremely strict and I cut out most unhealthy things and focused on productivity. The waves never last and I am left without progress when they pass. However I learned that instead of waiting for a wave. I just review what is the next ONE thing that will give me maximal gain. What is the biggest blocker for me right now to achieve my goals. For me it was that I didn’t see development from my exercising. I then didn’t focus on doing more of everything but rather tried to find what would help me the most. I realized I didn’t reach progressive overload at the gym which was my key problem. And my one thing to improve was by shifting from morning gym to evening. I didn’t have the strength in me to push myself so hard in the morning and that one minor change have helped me tremendously. My tip is to pause and reflect on your goals. Pick one and reflect on what is the one thing you can do to help you the most to achieve it and start there. |
