Today, games took center stage.

For one, the Spurs lost. I was feeling a Spurs win, allegedly, but that's not what transpired. In fact, the Spurs got their ass kicked... Unfortunate. I think the Thunder are gonna win the series... That was just a sorry showing by San Antonio. Unfortunate indeed...

Then, I played some vidya. My card game, of course. I was doing good, at first, but then what I was doing stopped working. I'm not sure what changed, maybe I just started being bad or something, but I think it was my deck. The META changed at some point and I didn't adapt in time, so I got my teeth kicked in. Then, I caved... I usually prefer to play stuff that's not played by a lot of people, but I do end up finding that the META is the META, and if I want to win against the best players on the ladder, and i do, then I have to play the good cards. That's what I did last week, though I did use some less popular combinations.

It always feels nice when my deck isn't in the ban pool; it means it's not popular, which means I found a hidden gem!

The issue with that particular gem was that, well, it's the one I usually reach for. Urban Rivals, the game I play, has clans; each clan has a particular identity and qualities. I, for some reason, do really well with the Sentinel clan, and I have done so for years. I don't like that! I prefer variety! Mind you, I do have variety, but Sentinel I just a little too frequent for my taste.

So, I wanted to try other stuff, but I failed. At first it was OK, but I failed. So, I ended up picking up the META... DAMN!!!! It's fine, I suppose, since it's not actually that popular. It's the Hive clan. Plenty of people play it, but it's not the META right now. It's a completely degenerate strategy, though... It's so oppressive, frankly. I wouldn't like to be on the other side of my own deck. I'm sitting pretty in the top 5, right now, but I doubt I'll be able to keep it until the end of the week. We shall see, I suppose.

I wore my black wool pants again, today.
