Hi

So I have just seen the Newest The Linux Experiment video that test gaming performance on CachyOS compared to Arch Linux.

Now I always knew that CachyOS is a little faster due to some optimisation and such.

But I always thougt that the performance difference was under 5 % here and there and therefor not worth it to me.

But in the video we see that there is a performace increase of +16% to +27% on cachyOS vs Arch. There is an outlier though of -16% but this is an outlier and all other numbers are +16% at the lowest

Now i know that this is cachyOS vs Arch, but i was still suprised that the difference was this big.

The question is, would this be the same for cachyos kde vs fedora kde ?

If we remove the update frequensy, and we say that they both use the same mesa and proton and the linux kernel is updated to the same version and so is kde. Would we still have the perfomance differnce ?

And how about the hardware. I use an all Amd build 9800x3D, 9070xt, 64gb ddr5, x870mb.
