@PugJesus the idiot law (in Canada) is fashioned in such a way that there are many laws which are completely unenforceable. Maybe there was some sort of assumption that people would govern themselves on the basis of those unenforceable laws.The honour system only holds up when there is honour.

I know the feeling, man, but suicide is setting off an indiscriminate bomb that leaves a lot of chaos in its wake. I've survived multiple suicide attempts and regretted each and every one. For multiple reasons.

Not only that, but the world has gotten better over the decades. We fight the same struggles as those before us, but progress is also made, little by little. Christ, imagine seeing shit go down in the 1930s. Or having no hope at all in the 1600s.

Never kill yourself for something that's somebody else's fault.
