My favourite kinds of shows to watch are the ones that are clearly passion projects. Even if the show isn't objectively the best, when it's a passion project and everyone who works on it is having a good time it magically elevates even the weakest material and heightens the chemistry of the characters on screen. When I watch series that's obviously made mostly for profit and less for passion, there always "feels" like something is missing even when the material is good on paper. Is it the chemistry between the cast? Is it excitement? Is it disconnection from the audience? I'm not totally sure but please recommend me your favourite passion projects no matter how good or bad they are. |
