A lot of people will spend months tolerating something annoying because the upgrade feels expensive in the moment.

A better chair, mattress, keyboard, shoes, backpack, or pair of headphones might seem costly when you're standing in the store. But if you use it almost every day for years, the cost per day often ends up being surprisingly small.

This doesn't mean buying the most expensive option. It just means thinking beyond the price tag and considering how often you'll actually benefit from it.

I've regretted a lot more cheap purchases that annoyed me every day than quality purchases that lasted for years.
