Hi everyone,

I'm developing NovaDial, a free and open-source Android dialer app as an alternative to Google Dialer and other proprietary phone apps.

Current goals:

Clean Material 3 design

No ads

No tracking

Fast contact search

Privacy-focused

Fully open source

I'm currently working on improving the call history screen. Right now, loading large call logs can feel slower than I'd like, especially on devices with thousands of call records.

I'd love feedback from the community:

What features do you wish Google Dialer had?

How important is call history performance to you?

Do you prefer grouped call logs or a complete chronological history?

What makes you switch from Google Dialer to a FOSS alternative?

If you're interested in testing or contributing ideas, I'd be happy to hear from you.

Thanks!
