Is Fedora a good distro for someone looking for usability, stability, solid gaming performance, and a good development experience, especially when using an NVIDIA GPU? I've always been a Windows user, although I had some experience with Linux Mint on my old AMD-based laptop. After buying a gaming laptop with an RTX 3050, I decided to leave Windows behind about a week ago. I don't want a distribution packed with bloatware. Initially, I was considering Fedora, CachyOS, and Pop!_OS, but I've seen many reports of instability in Pop!_OS due to the transition to its new desktop environment. Because of that, my choice has come down to Fedora and CachyOS. I plan to test both on my old laptop before making a final decision, but I'd like to hear from people who already use either of them. Why did you choose that distro? What do you consider its main strengths and weaknesses, especially regarding NVIDIA support? |
