Researchers believe they've finally solved this mystery, and they say the answer may not be so good. Significant changes are occurring in the Atlantic Ocean. On temperature maps, it appears as a blue spot surrounded by warmer waters. Since the early 1900s, temperatures there have dropped by almost one degree Celsius, which shouldn't happen under global warming.
