SIM cards because the end user has more control avoiding the extra steps involved with acquiring a plan. |

After my introduction to esim, physical sims all the way! My carrier fucked up moving my number from physical to electronic so bad, they had to give me a second esim so they could unfuck my first one and I could get my number back. What should've taken less than 15m, ended up being a 2h process |

I like being able to get a new phone and insert a SIM and it just fucking works. It doesn’t seem possible but I think I’ve had the same card for a decade and about 4 phones. eSIM are convenient for travel but little else. |

I've never used an esim, and dread the possibility. I greatly appreciate the simplicity of being able to swap the hardware without involving a third party. Are they even possible to set up without a second working phone? |
