It can also be a hippie thing, I think. I at least used to know a hippie chick when I was younger and she insisted on walking barefoot everywhere, even on paved city streets. Though that may just have been her personal thing I guess 🤷‍♀️

It's for folks who prefer not wearing shoes for a variety of reasons - none of which have anything to do with fetish.
It used to be associated with hippies. But it was a long time ago.

It's just a lifestyle choice.

I know several people who wear shoes as little as possible, my uncle included. I used to work with a guy whose feet got reds and irritated when he wore shoes. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Aw, and here I thought it was about barefoot shoes... Just bought my first pair after thinking about it for a few years.

What brand did you choose?

The cheapest :P SAGUARO. I actually thought it was Spanish and only on the packaging I saw it's a Chinese product. I just want to try it out and be able to trash it if I don't like them, didn't want to risk with something more expensive. I know that it's possible that more expensive shoes might be a better fit but still.

They seem nice. I have feet the size of a yeti, so i'll have to look around.

I hate socks. bare feet on clean floors is about the best feeling, only outdone by being in the yard barefoot.

IF you got wide feet, Lems and Zero do pretty good. Lems I know goes to 15, but I'm just a 12
