Driving will get more expensive next year, particularly for anyone found at fault in a crash. A $15 administrative fee will apply to new or renewed driver's licences and new vehicle registrations as of Jan. 1, Saskatchewan Government Insurance announced Friday. Motorists will also pay $2 more for licence payment transactions. The public insurer is also hiking deductibles on basic automobile insurance. The typical $700 deductible will increase to $950, about 35 per cent. The Crown corporation said most other deductibles will see an increase of about 20 per cent. |
