Nope, unless you are aiming a space rocket, it is highly unlikely that your projectile will escape the planet's gravity. |

Wait, is that confirmed?
The now famous lid-throw explosion has been confirmed to have been caused by a Russian air defence missile of some sort AFAIK and there are videos of Russians firing heat seeking MANPADS (Iglas I think) which turn around and target the burning refinery but I don't think it's been confirmed exactly what missile made the tank roof fly. |
