There's at least one app, (RunPee) and probably some websites, that will tell you the best time to take a quick mid-movie break. Then you can be comfortable even if the movie runs long. I usually pick a big fight scene myself because there's less dialogue/plot development and the outcome will be apparent on my return. I do miss the theater from my childhood that piped the soundtrack in to the bathrooms.

The after credits thing was neat when the movies were a spectacle. Now they’re releasing like 15 lovelessly turbospeed-produced marvel films per year and I’m maybe watching them on tv. Waiting through the credits is a dead premise.

I like to read the names aloud with friends and talk about the made up things they did. Bob Smith? Best Boy? Yeah he is. Helped me move last weekend. Jane Johnson? Second unit director? First in my heart, the one that got away. Etc.

Each extended edition has roughly 25 minutes of credits. The shortest movie is about 3 hours 30 minutes including the credits. Longest is about 4 hours 25 minutes.
