after only playing mario and similar stuff on the NES, playing ultima 7 for the first time on pc ("IBM compatible" in those days) was a defining moment of my childhood. most of the old origin titles were awesome back in the day--wing commander, another defining moment

Wasn't there some Ultima Online community event then the players started attacking out of nowhere and it became a warzone?
