There were definitely a ton of plum onigiri, but it's a little too sweet for me.

I always ate salmon onigiri my first backpacking trip through Japan, it is satisfying.

Fair enough, it is everywhere. I wouldn't be surprised at all if umeboshi is that fifth onigiri standing up near the bottom of the screen.

Mentaiko is a superior upgrade for tarako in all cases and at all times

for marinade and spices, mentaiko is the way to go.
