The FRS Clipper, which runs a passenger ferry between Victoria and Seattle, says it has not seen an increase in Canadian travellers heading south and that passenger levels are below those in 2025.

What is consistent in the data is that Americans continue to head north. StatsCan reports that in May 2026, U.S. residents making return trips to Canada increased by 10 per cent from the year before.
