Some rules we try to uphold:

Be civil. Bigotry is not welcome. This includes (but is not limited to): transphobia, queerphobia, racism, ageism and ableism. We do not promote hate.
Communities need to be Retro or Retro-adjacent.

We were thinking about it some time ago, and now that a user came up with a proposal as well we thought why not.
The idea is to add possibility to use username@disr.it along side your username@disroot.org JID for XMPP (just like email). We could implement it in two ways:

as alias - Using same roster but possibility to connect/be contacted with two additional addresses
as new account - Seperate account meaning clean roster, avatar etc. just using same credentials to login

Which one would you prefer?

(for reference original user's suggestion - https://git.disroot.org/Disroot/Disroot-Project/issues/1212 )
