Yeah, I'm not sure what's going on in this comment section at all. People seem to be getting worked up about it and the voting ratio makes me think it's happening for a number of people. A glitch would make sense. I'm definitely confused.

Look up the phrase "the price of tea in China". Then consider that perhaps things that make no sense literally may be an idiom rather than literally meant.

The clue might also lie with me referring to playing the game "non sequitur".

I understood the initial commenter as basically saying they do what they want so long as it's not immoral, which is a response to the post's theme of not trying to follow what others tell women to be.

Which is why your comment felt more like a non-sequitur than theirs did.

"All the tea in china" is an aussie idiom. In this context it's a polite way of saying "wtf has that got to do with anything being discussed"
