A week back I posted a poll for LemmyNZ users to vote for a new logo.

The results are in.

The winner was the globe by @Manticore@lemmy.nz!

digital painted world sphere with NZ filling it top to bottom and some recognisable countries around the edges

Out of the LemmyNZ users, we had 8 votes for the winning entry, 2 votes for Kimmy, and 1 vote to keep the existing logo. I even made some graphs:

Pie

pie graph showing the split (8 for the winner, 2 for the runner up, 1 for keeping the current logo

Bar

bar graph showing the split (8 for the winner, 2 for the runner up, 1 for keeping the current logo

~~Sweet; when will the change happen?~~

My bad; ctrl-f5 refreshed the cached version to get the new logo. Look great.

Haha in Summit it looks like Laser Kiwi is blowing up the earth:

screenshot of top of Summit app, showing the classic laser kiwi flag in the background and with the new earth/NZ logo on the left and showing its the All feed on the right. The laser kiwi's lasers coming out of its eyes are a perfect hit on the new globe logo
