Did the forefathers of the US ever write about what they saw in the rev war? Both good and bad? So in the future we would get a viewpoint on how to view it?

Like the US loves to villianize Benedict Arnold but they don't talk about how he sold everything to pay other people to help the rev. Even though he was promised compensation above the value and was never paid and basically fucked over? Noting that is probably one of the main reason's he switched...do we have any viewpoint on him from someone else? Or is it being blackwashed in history books?

Good topic. Your Benedict Arnold question is a lot more specific and I can't answer it at all, but if you googls "contemporary accounts of the American Revolution" you'll find quite a few books by people who lived through it.

There's no mention of it in Wiki, though it's a long ass page and I might have missed something. Also not American, so no background knowledge. Source for your claims?
