Is this what it felt like in the 70s when you found Dianetics on your boss’s desk?

I love how these articles go out of their way to find the most extreme edge cases and then create headlines that while technically correct, are clearly lacking context and designed to rile up the anti AI crowd. And the communities just fall for it hook line and sinker.

  1. People hear and believe what they want to believe.
  2. People don't listen to or consider the weight of evidence. If I go into a presentation and say "It's not a strong study, and maybe 20% valid, but it says AB does C." Everyone will walk out of that room assuming AB does C.

Now let loose those same people with AI...

Sounds like proof that companies can safely replace bosses with AI

That is too bad for you, because there are plenty of articles full of hard evidence AI is a scam and massive bubble.

Maybe try doing your homework before quipping about this?

This is happening at my company, but the CEO owns the company so there is no replacing him no matter how AI crazy he gets.
