A photograph taken in the evening but before twilight, toward the end of autumn. A roughly mown field with tufts of green grass growing among stands of brown, cut brush is in the foreground. In the midground, a swath of uncut brown brush is punctuated by a few small trees, each with a smattering of red and yellow leaves. The background shows more mature trees in the distance, also with fall foliage, and above, a blue sky with moderate scattered cloud coverage lit by an out-of-frame setting sun. In the far distance, power lines are just barely visible behind the trees, the only sign of human influence besides the cuttings in the field.
