Today, I read a lot, and I thought a lot too.

Actually, in retrospect, the past few weeks, maybe months, of utter depression and listless idleness are a blur. I don't remember them, it's like they didn't happen, genuinely; this feels like a 2 month time-skip or something!

I think, partly, it's because I barely read. Well, that's not quite true, I did read some manga, a rather large amount, by some standards, but it isn't the same thing. There's something about novels that really get my brain rolling, somehow. I feel like I think more, I wonder more. I also started going on my walks again, it's the 3rd day in a row that I manage to go, and I think that helps with thinking, as well, though I mostly just fantasize or listen to a podcast, or both, or music, something like that.

Regardless, I feel like I'm thinking more, and I like that. I feel lik my inner world has opened up again.

Naturally, since all I'm reading is Japanese rom-coms, romance is what's on my mind. I don't think that's bad, per se, but it does get me clutching at my heart, on occasion. I'm re-reading Toradora, again, and it's still great. I finished Volume 1 in a bit over a day, and I started Volume 2 today. I've also read the first volume of Alya, and the first 3 arcs of Dokuzetsu Shoujo.

Dokuzetsu Shoujo is surprisingly, not that bad! It's still in the "trash" category, for now, but I can really feel it starting to pick up steam. Each arc has been better than the last, and the main character has been developing subtly, but meaningfully, which I love. It's also great that the heroine is actually complex, though it is still a little tropey.

Alya is... Well, it's fine. The first volume was just fine. I liked the development, but felt it was a little slow, and really the whole Russian gimmick just doesn't really land with me. It's childish, I guess? Which makes sense, I know, I'm aware that I'm not the target audience for this!!!!! But still...

While I do love Toradora, and I intend to finish it, I can't help but feel like I want something fresh and new. I don't want to just re-read the greats, I want something more! Something... Better, perchance?!

I want to rewatch Love is War, actually... I loved it, at the time, but I feel like that's actually falling back into this "rewatching the greats" trope. I want something that's... Like if Toradora and Love is War had a baby. Does that even exist?!

Whatver.

I overate a little, today, but I think it's fine. I'm doing OK!

I wore my black suit trousers.
