In case of downtime and/or emergency, we will post updates on @DosDude@mastodon.social

Some rules we try to uphold:

Be civil. Bigotry is not welcome. This includes (but is not limited to): transphobia, queerphobia, racism, ageism and ableism. We do not promote hate.
Communities need to be Retro or Retro-adjacent.
Please don't upload pornographic content. (use an external image host for that)

The update is out and it works as good as new!

This is a good time to remind folks how important it is to donate to projects like this.

Thank you, NewPipeTeam!

EDIT:
Updates to the default F-Droid repository take some time. For immediate updates:

Download and install the APK from the GitHub release link: https://github.com/TeamNewPipe/NewPipe/releases/tag/v0.28.2
(Preferred) You can add the NewPipe F-Droid repository to your F-Droid client. They immediately post updates to their own repo before it makes it to the default repo. For this reason, I was able to update NewPipe via F-Droid right away. Here's the instruction link: https://newpipe.net/FAQ/tutorials/install-add-fdroid-repo/
