Sally Menti rubbed her arms as if she was cold, but neither the weather nor her Reign were chilly Saturday.

They were just unfortunate to have a fiery start end in a 3-1 loss to the North Carolina Courage at First Horizon Stadium. The result ended the Reign’s three-game win streak against the Courage.

It was a gorgeous goal from Menti, but Ashley Sanchez was simply too much

Fishel sent a low pass to defender Sofia Huerta, who sliced the ball to Menti at the top of the box. The midfielder had time to compose herself before powering a left-footed shot into goal.
