http://www.smbc-comics.com/comic/zod Alt textI recently rewatched the 80s Superman movies, and it's really unclear to me why they will not Kneel Before Zod. Bonus panel

Yeah, but Superman is more aerodynamic outstretched. |

Presumably if you're shaped like a human rather than a bee and you're not going for aerodynamics then you'd fly with a standing posture. Some characters (Magneto, for example) do. |

Yeah! Face first sounds extremely dangerous now that you mention it. I'd fly feet first. If I hit something, I can bend my knees to absorb some impact, or kick off of it for a quick 180. Hell, with a little practice, you could look like you were about to flying kick someone 100% of the time. That's pretty badass. |

Yeah, but Superman is more aerodynamic outstretched.
He could definitely catch him if he chose a more aerodynamic posture. |

Ohh, you guys have eyesight eyesight. Noticing the tension in a bee’s limbs during flight is wild |

He wouldn't have to catch him if he'd just Kneel Before Zod |

The stereotypical Superman flying pose is like diving into a pool, which is optimized for hydro/aerodynamics, and probably is the pose Superman would go for when he wants to go fast. |
