Humans spend billions exploring outer space because the physics of a vacuum are easier to handle. But the deep ocean? Our most advanced machinery literally stops working at a certain depth. The vast majority of the deep sea floor is 100% unmapped and unexplored. Because NOBODY has ever been down there to see it all, we cannot say with certainty that a hidden civilization doesn't exist. Imagine an intelligence down there that bypassed our surface science. They don't need fire or sunlight; they have a permanent, unlimited source of energy tapped directly from the Earth's core. With that kind of power, they wouldn’t just have one hidden city. They could have massive, continent-sized biomes and hollow spaces within the Earth's crust. And just like us, they wouldn't be one single group. They would have different cultures, distinct countries, and geopolitical borders. They probably have their own media and daily news networks. Imagine their version of the evening news broadcasting updates on a border dispute near the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, or a weather report warning citizens about a human oil rig or military sonar test encroaching on their "sky." To them, the deep ocean floor is just the roof of their world, completely insulating their global civilization from human satellites. Why do we assume we are the only advanced society on this planet when we haven't even checked our own basement? What do you guys think their global politics or daily news would look like? |
