Can you imagine if the US was under a threat that required 1,500 of the US militaries' most highly trained infantry to quell it?

What would that look like?

It would have to be a great Kaiju monster that destroyed millions of americans homes and left them homeless.

It would have to be a Cthulian monster with countless tentacles pushing people into death spirals of opioid addiction left unpunished by the people who claim to protect us from Lovecraftian horrors...

It would have to be a monster capable of terrible annihilation of the very landscape we and rely upon.

A new report released by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service reveals wetlands – 95 percent of which are freshwater — covered less than 6 percent of the lower 48 states as of 2019 – which is half the area they covered since the 1780s. The report also identifies that loss rates have increased by 50 percent since 2009 and that without additional conservation actions taken to protect these ecosystems, wetland loss will likely continue, reducing ecosystem benefits for people and habitat for fish, wildlife and plants.

It would have to be an evil force of imprisonment, one of dislocation and annihilation of family structures.

It would have to deny even the basic luxury of children having access to a green place to be kids, to explore, create and learn like kids are meant to.

To need that many troops to defend us, surely the evil must be distributed, unending and utterly unpredictable, bleeding out the heart of america with a thousand cuts....

What horrifying monster could pose such a threat?!?!?!

Surely this must be who we should be terrified of!
