I wonder which launch company AST could possibly buy for $1bil. Obviously not SpaceX, Rocket Lab, or Blue Origin. ULA, Relativity, Firefly, and Stole are up in the multi billion range. And nobody else seems remotely close to useful. Unless they buy a non US launcher.
