A few months ago, I built a website around a strange question.

What would people say if they could address something beyond our known reality without knowing whether anything was listening?

The result became OUTSIDE, a public archive where every visitor can leave a numbered message.

There are no replies, profiles, likes or algorithms deciding which messages deserve attention. Nothing tells the writer who, if anyone, will read what they leave behind.

More than 600 messages have now been added.

Some people ask questions. Some apologize. Some leave warnings, jokes, prayers or personal memories. A few write as though something is already listening.

What interests me is not whether there is actually an “outside.” It is what people choose to reveal when they are given an unknown recipient and no expectation of a response.
