I saw this in person when I visited Czechia last year. So many people pat/rub the dog.

Iron armor was often "well-rounded" (regardless of the body shape) in order to better deflect attacking blades to the side.

The best part is, this is not an old tradition. It was started by a group of students who polished the dog making it look like it has been touched over a long time.

Whenever I go past (and there's no queue), I make sure to touch something else than the dog.

As you can see, still a long ways to go =/

Can't be. Look at St Peter's feet in the Vatican. They're basically gone after centuries of people touching them. If old boy here had the same treatment, he'd be nothing but a gold smear

Nothing is more deserving of love in this world than a newborn baby or a good dog.

Not to be pedantic, but isn't it cast in bronze and therefore isn't "glowing gold"? 😜

I have certainly touched there at times, but it's a team effort 💪
