I watch things now on streaming. I hear the “bing bing” of the Adult Swim logo sound— that’s nice.

But I really really miss the silly little one-sided conversations Adult Swim would have during commercial breaks. The white words on the black screen.

I felt like a friend was watching my favorite shows with me and we suddenly stopped talking. They were funny, sad, random. I miss the chill, low-fi techno music that accompanied the words. No other channel had a personality like that. Except arguably maybe Face. Or Toonami. But this was the channel itself, not a host character. Anyway. I miss Adult Swim’s conversations.
