Someone on Reddit mentioned something fun. These people are the people that just cheat their way through life and through succes, maybe thinking it's smart instead of cheating. Then they get at a position of power, and suddenly there are actual stakes and you can't just cheat your way through it all, and you just suck at it. But your colleagues or partners who also helped get you where you are also cheat so your kinda stuck? Or we are stuck with them, prolly put it better. |

Let's see how that worked out for this conservative member. The bold emphasis is mine:
Someone might need to call the burn unit for this individual. Very well done, Toronto Star. |

Let's see how that worked out for this conservative member. The bold emphasis is mine: The odd reading went more or less unnoticed at the time, but video of the remarks started spreading around social media networks like Reddit and Threads earlier this week. In Canada, the snafu is now getting mainstream attention from the likes of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and The Toronto Star, the...
As a large language model, I suggest to strengthen the ending with a dick punch. And the masses, who by and large could do a better job writing a vapid conservative nothing burger. Bad punctuation, spelling, and questionable vocabulary from Jim who hangs outside the 7-eleven, would likely have resulted in a historical speech for this misfart of a public figure. |

It may not resonate with many people because it’s quite a small industry. But after 25 years working in visual effects (cgi) whatever you call it now, I made my way to RnD which to me was always the coolest thing. (Helping define the future of the craft). About a year later the midjourney and ChatGPT shitstorm poured in. It took me 2, maybe 3 years, before I realised that I was fucking miserable, I didn’t give a shit about AI, didn’t find that it helped much more than what tight organisation would have done. and that the only reason VFX studios were interested was because the ask and expectations from They used to work us up to 80, sometimes 100 hours a week, just to release a turd like Jupiter Ascending. Not paid hours. Just expected, because we should feel lucky we get paid to make movies I guess. It’s unbelievable to me, but I quit a very secure job, and a week later I was being asked to draw character by one of my favourite 2D animation company and the pay was lower, but for This is dumb and not related to the article, and But walking away from ‘head of AI’ was the most fulfilling decision I’ve ever made. |

They also know their job is exercising power over us, not doing what we want. What do they care what they say, as long as it's good enough? |
