Hulu has greenlit three supersized “Futurama” specials in addition to the show’s upcoming Season 14, the series’ executive producers and cast revealed Saturday at San Diego Comic-Con.

During their morning Comic-Con panel, which featured creator Matt Groening, showrunner and head writer David X. They also shared details about the three extended length “Futurama” specials (dubbed “XXXL-Sized”), which are currently in production and will kick off in 2027 with an Xmas-related edition.

There once twice were several times that there was no new Futurama in development. I prefer Hulu to nothing.

No thank you. Futurama ended with Comedy Central for me. As far as I'm concerned it was a perfect ending for a rocky but charming show. I don't engage with it outside of fan communities anymore.

Harsh but true. Something was missing after the initial run.
