China usually requires a bachelor's degree these days to begin teaching ESL officially, and you'll find a lot of the highest paying beginner jobs there with $3000-4500 USD equivalent starting monthly salaries teaching kindergartners with a 2k annual travel stipend, signup bonus, resigning bonus if you stay longer, paid summer and winter holidays, free meals, a bunch of stuff. But importantly, you do not need a bachelor's to begin teaching abroad, even in China! If you don't have a bachelor's degree, you can still join an ESL internship program, make half the pay, still get the benefits. Outside of China, there are another billion students looking to study English in dozens of countries like Colombia, Ecuador, Cambodia, Laos with very low costs of living, so even if you're making $1500 USD equivalent starting out, you're more than covered in terms of food(teacher meals may be provided for free), rent(teacher apartments may be provided for free), transportation. You can teach other subjects too other than English at international schools like history or math. if you have any questions or want any advice, ask away here or reach out. Have a good one! |
