Sung to Bonnie Tyler’s “Holding Out for a Hero”

Where have all the good games gone
And where are all the mods?
Where’s a hardware vendor been
That fights for users and not for frauds?
Isn't there a headset built for something other than greed?
Late at night, I toss and I turn
And I dream of what I need

I need a Steam Frame
I'm holding out for a Steam Frame that’ll make VR right
It’s gotta be cool, and it’s gotta be slick
And it’s gotta be comfy and light
I need a Steam Frame
I'm holding out for a Steam Frame that’ll make VR right
It’s gotta be moddable, gotta be soon
And it’s gotta be built for Half-life
Built for Half-life

Somewhere in a warehouse
It’s been waiting patiently
Somewhere, just beyond my feeds
Some hardware’s reaching back for me
Reading all the headlines
And every single tweet
I swear I’m gonna lose my mind if it doesn’t launch this week, yeah

I need a Steam Frame
I'm holding out for a Steam Frame that’ll make VR right
It’s gotta be cool, and it’s gotta be slick
And it’s gotta be comfy and light
I need a Steam Frame
I'm holding out for a Steam Frame that’ll make VR right
It’s gotta be moddable, gotta be soon
And it’s gotta be built for Half-life
Built for Half-life

I need a Steam Frame
I'm holding out for a Steam Frame that’ll make VR right

I’ve had enough of Meta looming above
I’m ready for a device that’s free
I need an OS that isn’t always watching me
Through the headaches and the sweat and eye strain
And the terrible HUD
I can feel it’s approach rumors come like a flood
(Rumors come like a flood, rumors come like a flood)
(Rumors come like a flood, rumors come like a flood)

I need a Steam Frame
I'm holding out for a Steam Frame that’ll make VR right
It’s gotta be cool, and it’s gotta be slick
And it’s gotta be comfy and light
I need a Steam Frame
I'm holding out for a Steam Frame that’ll make VR right
It’s gotta be moddable, gotta be soon
And it’s gotta be built for Half-life

I need a Steam Frame
I'm holding out for a Steam Frame that’ll make VR right

{sniff} That was beautiful.

Why is this a long code block? Quoting would’ve likely fit the markdown more suitably.

Love this, nicely done

Isn't it worse than the index?

I wasn't sure how to preserve newlines in the Lemmy markdown, but I think I got it now. Thanks.
