wtf is vtube

I know I am kind of deadposting here, but I am wondering why there is no vtubing comm on lemmy/piefed.

Like me and a friend considered Vtubing on my comedy themed peertube instance, but there seems to be very few Vtubers on the fediverse. I know that Vtubing groups tend to me more corporate than not so the lack of site side monetization makes peertube unattractive for many Vtubers, but you could also do it for the fun or without capitalism and if you feel you want a little allowance for it, there are donation sites like ko-fi

There's a couple I've seen that get really into it. Which is fun. But without money a lot of vtubers just...don't target the platform. Which you did say. So yeah. It sucks a bit. But we do end up with people that really like the vibe here. Real humans.

300 real humans on a stream feels much better than 3000 bots.
