I’m starting to think my 5tb HDD simply is not enough storage for me and i am currently too broke to buy a second one, i do however have about 20 blank DvDs, the only issue here is that they’re not rewriteable (so anything i put on it kinda just stays there) and i dont have the money to invest in a more reliable, rewriteable format (DvD-RAM or RW although RW is considerably cheaper than the former, Tape Drives, BD-RE XL)

Is there actually any benefit to using regular DVD-R disks for long term file storage besides that they’re cheap
