From HBO to AMC, it seems like more and more shows are only afforded 6 to 8 episodes per season. Even a season with a mere 10 episodes, the acceptable minimum in my opinion, seems to be becoming an increasing rarity. The results? Everything feels truncated. Characters and storylines aren't given enough time to be properly fleshed out. While people are noticing this trend and voicing their complaints, they seem to be falling on deaf ears. The sooner the television studios have an epiphany and go back to longer seasons, the better.
